Watch the Christmas tree setup movie from... 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007

Movie plays at 9fps; pictures were taken every 8 seconds.
A larger, higher quality version compressed with H.264 is available.
Last year's stop-motion tree setup movie was spontaneous, so I didn't know how this year's intentionally-captured movie would turn out. The result was more enjoyable than I had expected, although I just about gave up looking for music!
No car accidents involved during this year's movie, though my leg still doesn't bend like it used to.
Unlike last year, we have more decorations than usual thanks to the bells that Claus' mother kindly made for us.
I picked one camera angle this year and stuck with it. I ended up chopping off the top of the tree, but there's nothing but a golden bow up there. Really. My sister and I much prefer the angel mom (sewed? crocheted?) and the bow has been known to disappear from time to time.
It was even more difficult to fit the video to the music (and vice versa) this year. I only had to duplicate a few frames after repeating the music once and chopping it off in the right place.
Watch closely just before the tree stops moving by itself...
Mom and I look very surly in the last frame of the movie because we couldn't see ourselves. :-)
